  1. Automatic Document Feeder Switch Test

  3. Remove any items from the document feeder tray and from the scanner bed.
  4.  
  5. Lift the ADF lid to the fully raised position.
  6. It should remain in the up position without user assistance. 
  7. Do not allow it to fall from this position to avoid damage. 
  8.  
  9. Ensure that nothing is blocking the ADF from being fully raised.
